Today, I want to show you a different way that you can manage your inbox and calendar all within a single platform. This is done directly through a custom GPT using Zapier AI Actions.
This method not only saves you time, but now with the added power to call in other GPTs that you've built into any GPT that you've built, you can quickly see how this can be an extremely powerful tool.
So initially the challenge was to build something to help us summarize emails, respond to emails quicker, and manage calendar events. This system was built out of necessity just because we are extremely busy and sometimes emails get missed and we want to make sure that that doesn't happen.
What makes this approach very powerful is the customization. We can go ahead and train this custom GPT to sound just like the author, to write in the same tone and style. And with the connections with AI Actions, it can automate things for us.
For instance, I first started with just a sample email. So this is a sample tone of the person who owns this GPT. I also got a video recording transcription just so that the GPT can learn the style of how the person not only writes but how they speak. And I also went over to Zapier and I created my AI Actions.
Now, every single one of these actions is included in the custom GPT, and you can go ahead and add more or remove some. The possibilities are endless with this.
Let's go ahead and ask it a question. Let's ask it to summarize the emails for today. And just like that, you get a summary of emails. You can also respond to emails. You can create calendar events.
Now let's say I wanted to send an email. So let's send an email. And it's going to go ahead and start the action. Now I just go to my Gmail, or the owner of this GPT goes to their Gmail, opens up their draft folder, and the email is there.
You can go ahead and have the action send it directly, but I just like to have that added precaution just to review it once more.
And you can do the same thing with calendar events. You can add calendar events, you can delete calendar events, you can send calendar invites.
So this solution really just helps you save time in the mornings. If you're preparing for your day, just get a summary of your emails, check out your meetings for the day. It is a really extremely powerful tool.
