The 4% podcast

In America, it’s estimated that 4% of people in prison are actually innocent—and an even smaller fraction are exonerated and walk free. Kerry Robinson is one of those people.

The 4% explores the story of Kerry’s wrongful conviction and the relentless pursuit of justice that led to his freedom after nearly two decades behind bars. In this four part series, we’ll hear the story of one man’s journey to exoneration: the system that failed him, the science that freed him, and the people who fought for his justice.

This podcast was created in partnership with the Georgia Innocence Project

Georgia Innocence Project is an independent non-profit dedicated to helping free individuals who have been convicted of crimes they did not commit in the state of Georgia. This work, which involves re-examining long-closed investigations and legal proceedings, is incredibly labor intensive: a single exoneration can take many years and countless hours of tedious work. Georgia Innocence Project uses Zapier to build systems and processes that reduce administrative overhead and enable staff to focus on correcting some of the criminal legal system's most egregious errors.
